News: Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 2 is the Official Title of the GoTG Sequel
James Gunn has confirmed Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 as the official title to the Guardians of the Galaxy’s sequel.
Gunn made the announcement on his Facebook page earlier today, saying that he could make the official reveal following Kevin Feige’s accidental reveal during Ant-Man interviews. The title seems to be a reference to Guardians of the Galaxy’ssoundtrack, Awesome Mix Vol. 1, and the teased Awesome Mix Vol. 2 that appeared at the film’s end.
Gunn, who directed 2014’s Guardians of the Galaxy, will return to write and direct Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. It is scheduled to hit theaters on May 5, 2017.
